Parco delle cascine It’s the green lung of the city, near the center. It is the biggest public park of Florence with a surface of over 130 hectares that runs parallel to the Arno river. Characterized by a rich vegetation, big gardens, boulevards and small paths, it is a perfect place to practice some sport (by yourself or with one of the equipped systems) or spend your free time outside enjoying the nature and the silence of the area.
“le Cascine” hosts also a weekly market (every tuesday morning) and events, shows and concerts

Giardino delle Rose sited just a few meters from Piazzale Michelangelo, open every day all year long: it gives you the view of Florence and in May a big selection of roses in blossom, beautiful and perfumed. Thanks to the twinning with the city of Kyoto it was enriched with a zen corner and a tea house, and it is also decorated with 12 sculptures of the artist Folon offered by his wife.
